Structure

Louvered pergolas, designed around your house

Motorized aluminum louvered roofs — open for sun, closed and sealed for rain — designed in 3D against your real house before anything is ordered.

A room, not just a roof

A pergola is usually the piece everything else depends on: the screens that drop from it, the heaters and fans hanging from it, the kitchen under it, the wiring running through it. So I design it with all of those in the drawing from the start, instead of adding them one company at a time.

You see the structure set into your real house, roofline and column placement included, before you commit. See two projects from before to built.

Questions I get

What does a louvered pergola cost?
It depends — price moves with size, number of bays, mounting condition, and how much you integrate: lighting, screens, heat, and automation. The consult and 3D design exist so you get a real number for your project instead of a guess.
Do I need a permit?
A permanent louvered pergola usually does need one, which can mean drawings, engineering, and a professional engineer’s sign-off. It’s handled as part of the project, not left to you.
How long does it take?
Fabrication typically runs 2–3 weeks once the design is approved. Installation ranges depending on the product, the size of the project, and the customization involved. Where permits are required, the local building department sets that clock, which is why the paperwork starts early.
Does it hold up to snow, wind, and storms?
These are engineered aluminum structures rated for snow and wind loads, with the specific rating determined by the design and your site.

Send a photo of the area and a sentence about what you want to do out there. That's enough for me to tell you whether it's a pergola problem, a shade problem, or something else entirely.
